I would really like to become a Marine when I finish college. However, I get deathly seasick on anything that floats. I would really appreciate any information from current Marines regarding how likely it is that I will have to be on a boat. My goal MOS is Infantry-Rifleman (0311). Thank you.

Since the USMC is part of the US Navy, there is a chance you will have some kind of sea duty. You may be assigned as a security detail on a nuke carrier, as an example. Most Marines probably don't see any ship time, but if that's where you get orders, that's where your going. They will help you deal with motion sickness issues.

Marines are part of the Navy. You need to deal with the fact that you are very likely to be on a boat. That being said, many Marines in Afghanistan and Iraq have spent little or no time on boats

Some do while some don't. It is all random. If the unit you are with gets sent on a ship, then you have no choice.

Don't enlist unless you are prepared to spend time aboard a ship.
