Do I have any options when dealing with a damage assessment on a return leased SUV?

I had a leased SUV for 4 years and 80,000KMS. Upon its return they want to charge me some $400.00 to replace one " plastic " running board. The r. board is chipped, not broken but they say they have a free hand in determining the replacement of the item and the labour charge to replace it. I told them I would pay a fair and reasonable amount but not $400.00 for a running board on a 4 year old vehicle.
