A dad in California who was reluctant to watch The Princess Diaries movie with his daughters ended up becoming very invested in Mia Thermopolis’ journey to become a royal.Wholesome footage captured by Hailey Skinner back in April shows her dad becoming progressively more intrigued by protagonist Mia, played by Anne Hathaway, and her efforts to become the princess of fictional country Genovia, while also trying to live the life of a regular high schooler.Skinner told Storyful that her little sister chose The Princess Diaries to watch on her 18th birthday, and that her dad “didn’t want to watch it… but obviously ended up loving it.”The video shows him laughing at scenes such as Mia accidentally setting a man’s arm on fire, and looking perturbed when she is betrayed by the film’s antagonist, Lana.
