I have a 95 Chevy Tahoe, 5.7, TBI. I know on older models like the 89 GMC truck i had, you had to disconnect a wire under the hood by firewall, I think it was a tan wire with black stripe, before you checked the timing. Ive dug into the plastic flex wire protector on the 95, and I have not found the wire in there. I have not really tore into it fully yet, thought Ide get a little advice before i go to far.I have a chilton manual but its not helping much. It does mention something about crank sensor, or cam sensor, but it may be referring to a newer model. Has anyone got some advice??
