My old belt was really loose. I could probably slide it off the cam if I wanted to and it moved almost an inch at the longest part. So I adjusted the new one snug but not overly tight(I think).
I can turn it 90 degrees in the longest part. Moves about have an inch.
But now there is a small whine when I rev it. around 3k rpm id say. Nothing at idle though.
This means the belt is too tight but I also heard that new one will make that noise for a little bit. Is that true? Or should I loosen it up a little?
