Change blackberry curve battery with a pearl flip? will it work?

I have a blackberry curve 8330 and the part you put the charger in is loss so it wont charge, im not wanting to buy a new phone yet and my mom has a blackberry pearl flip, the batteries are different, but if they fit would it be okay to swap them so i can charge mine in her phone?

This may or may not work, do at you're own risk. Cut open a usb cable. Strip the black and red wires so the metal is exposed. Black is negative, red positive. Pull out the battery and tape from the back of it the wires. Put the phone together, plug in the usb cable to you're computer, and turn on the phone. It may be stuck at the charging screen at first, but u can start it up eventually. May or may not work.
