Can you use water and dish soap to clean a tire?

Just the edges, would dish soap dry it out or anything like that?

Yes. I have used Dawn dishwashing liquid for years to clean tires and certain other areas that are very dirty.

Yes, I do this if my tyres have mud on them. Also use a small scrub brush.
