Can you use a snowmobile helmet as a motorcycle helmet?

I have a snowmobile helmet that is snell and dot approved, i was wondering if it will be safe to take it on a bike, any help??

A helmet is a helmet, let it be a snow mobile helmet or a space suite helmet. Motorcycle law does not describes a motorcycle helmet, It only requires you to wear something hard on your head to prevent injuries during a crash. Although snow is soft and cuddly, the pavement.... not so much. So if I were you, I would stick to a regular full face helmet.
