Can someone explain t-mobiles new mobile plans?

In February i switched to t-mobile prepaid (at the time they had 2 year contracts) i see now that they are no contract carrier but when i look at the plans it says unlimited talk and text and 500mb for data. Now is the data unlimited and the 500mb just at top speeds?

Also it shows for phones i can make payments like if i paid for example 99$ down pay for a samsung galaxy s4 could i make extra dollar amount payments in the future? I have a huawei mytouch q and i want to upgrade. Hope somebody can help!

You pretty much have it all correct, 500 mb high speed, then unlimited at an unknown slower speed.

I can see why they would care if you pay off your phone early, you can call their customer service to confirm all of this, I really like t-mobiles cust serv
