yea you can workout upper body one day legs next day then something else the next day or you could work chest one day, legs next day, arms next day to give your body time to repair and grow

You can use many different patterns of working out but what I have seen to have the best results is to mix a major muscle group with a minor. Much depends on how many days a week you work out and if the days off are even or if your schedule is more erratic. A good start is to try and work a muscle group out and give it at least two days off to heal(that's where the muscle is formed, from the rebuilding). Also, you can match your chest up with triceps because many chest exercises involve the use of your triceps. Same pairing concept is true with back and biceps and often times legs are left by themselves because they are such a huge muscle group.
