So as a p-plater, I can't drive a car with a turbo. But my dream car has just popped up, and I just cant pass on it. However, I was wondering if I remove the boost gauge, even if I get pulled over there's nothing in my car to say I have a turbo, unless they look under the hood. But my question is, is it safe to drive a turbo powered car without a boost gauge?
A p-plater is someone who has just got their licence. And in Sydney there are laws which state p-platers cant drive highpowered cars, v8s and turbo or supercharged cars.

what is a p-plater? why arent you allowed to drive a turbo? this is weird.

anyway....if you remove the gauge and it has a vacuum line make sure you simply cap it off or you will have a small vacuum leak. If it just has a wire behind the gauge unhook it.

It is safe unless it is highly modified and you need to keep your eye on the gauge.
