Can I downgrade iphone firmware from 5.0.1 to 4.3.3 without jailbreaking?

I have a 3GS on 5.0.1, and it is not jailbroken. Can I get back to 4.3.3 without jailbreaking first? I can't seem to get the 5.0.1 jailbroken, and I want an untethered jailbreak at 4.3.3.

Yes you can - Go to this website http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/
select the device you have and download the firmware you want to install.

After downloading the desired firmware below, you can shift-click (PC) or option-click (Mac) the Restore or Update buttons in iTunes. A file dialog will open and let you choose the downloaded ipsw-file.

Note: Your browser may change the ipsw-file into a zip-file. In that case, just rename it to end in .ipsw and iTunes will accept it.

The firmware can take up to an hour to download but anywayz Hope that helped a bit
