My sister and I want to take in local sights, enjoy local cuisine, maybe a little shopping and hopefully enjoy the local arts scene - budget of $800 per person.
The Pacific Northwest, especially Seattle, would make a fantastic trip in September. Weather is almost always sunny and warm at that time of year, and Seattle has a plethora of super restaurants, excellent shopping, and a thriving arts scene. And ferry rides to nearby islands in Puget Sound always make the visit extra special. You can't do better than Seattle in September!
