Cam Newton has had a difficult sophomore season. After being great his rookie season, he has definitely slumped this year. However, on Monday Night Football, Newton flashed his potential once again.
The quarterback for the Carolina Panthers had four total touchdowns as his team defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 30-22. Netwon finished with 306 passing yards and two passing touchdowns along with 52 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns.
The Eagles, who were without both Michael Vick and LeSean McCoy, battled but couldn’t overcome Newton and the Panthers.
With the win, the Panthers improved to 3-8. The loss dropped the Eagles to an identical 3-8 record.
