Burning a Movie to Play On Portable DVD Players ......?

I know how to burn ... just not how to make the DVD open the same way it does when you place it in the computer.

I'll try to explain it more ...

When I place the disc inside the DVD player it just sits there.

Inside the pc it opens correctly and plays just like a DVD movie I rent.

The DVD player does play/read written discs ...

Am I burning it wrong?
