Blackberry 9360 will only let me scroll down if i hold down ALT at the same time?

Just wondering if theirs a way to fix this..
1. If i go on Home screen i can scroll across/down without holding in ALT.
2. If i go on say BBM or Text messages or phonebook, cannot scroll down without holding in ALT.
3. I can hear the noise of the scrollpad when i move it but doesnt move on screen?

anybody fixed this? Ive tried taking battery out exc..
