how can i speed it up? done loads of setup guides and changed the settings according to what people have said on the internet but still i can get a max. of 40 kb/s download speed which is terrible.
if you have already capped you upload to 25KB or so increase the priority bandwidth to High and then load and update the trackers every once in a while. Make sure your torrent has a good seed to peers ratio you will only get that low speed if you have less than say 10 seeds on the torrent.
Try a different torrent client. Utorrent is good, but there are others that work equally well.
