...replace DVD recorders? I'm looking to replace my DVD recorder (I have sone of the ones with an ATSC/NTSC tuner). I know that DVR's are the current rage, but has recording things onto DVD suddenly become obsolete? How long before we see region 1 blue ray recorders? Does anyone know if you can hook up that new Sony DVDirect to your satellite box and record DVD's that way?
I recently tried one of the two options for a new DVD recorder and it's got problems...so I'm wondering, what is everyone [that doesn't have a DVR] doing to continue to be able to record shows from TV that are not available on DVD?
