Look up: White flour vs. whole wheat flour.

Soda pop and health problems
Fresh vegetables compared to cooked (or canned) vegetables
Health of hydrogentated oils
Sugar and health
Or: Hydrogenated oils compared to cold-pressed oils
Butter compared to margarine
Why eat a salad before dinner?

Fried food/meat compared to baked or broiled
Ingredients in Twinkies
Nutrition in fresh fruit / or / minerals in fresh fruit (compared to junk food - what do you get in fresh fruits/veges., compared to eating cookies or a Twinkie, for example)
Vitamins in fresh spinach
Nutrients removed from white flour
Importance of protein in diet (for muscles, brain and heart health, so don't skip protein)

Sugar risks:

Or . . .
Look up a typical meal from a fast food restaurant (the sandwich, french fries and drink).
Then compare the ingredients to a home-cooked meal such as: Baked chicken, boiled potatoe, salad. Look at how much sodium is in both. How much sugar? How many nutrients? How much hydrogenated oils. How many added ingredients and preservatives? You can find this out by looking up: Nutrition of (the sandwich/fries/pop). Then look up nutrition of (each thing in the homecooked meal), then add either water, pure fruit juice, milk or lemonade).
