On tap today:
Usain Bolt’s final race takes place tonight, U.S. men’s basketball looks for a trip to the gold-medal game and the women of the U.S. 4×100-meter relay team look to recover from a shaky qualifying round to repeat as Olympic champs.

Add in an American diver and wrestler looking to repeat and another women’s team looking to cap off a dominating water polo tournament, and you have a Day 14 bursting at the seams with action.
Morning slots:
If you like brisk walks taken to the extreme, men’s 50K walk is in session at the track on NBCSN starting at 7 a.m. ET. American John Nunn returns to the Olympics in the sport after a 12-year absence.
On the USA Network at 9 a.m. ET, men’s badminton will be in the semifinal round. Women’s water polo is featured afterward with Hungary and Russia battling it out for a bronze medal.
If that isn’t for you, equestrian individual jumping starts off NBC’s daytime coverage at 10 a.m. ET. American Beezie Madden won a bronze in the event at Beijing, and will be competing to improve on that finish.

You can wait it out on the USA Network, where women’s field hockey will be playing at 11:30 a.m. ET with a bronze medal on the line between Germany and New Zealand, or you can switch to NBCSN at 11 a.m. ET where American Jordan Burroughs starts his gold medal defense in men’s wrestling, and taekwondo features a pair of medal contenders in Jackie Galloway and Steven Lopez.
Afternoon slots:
On NBC at 12:10 p.m., the U.S. men’s volleyball team hopes to make the gold medal game against Italy. The men will look avoid the disappointing fate of the U.S. women yesterday against a team that beat them 3-1 during group play.
Turn it over to NBCSN at 2:15 p.m. ET when the U.S. men’s basketball team will be playing international rival Spain, and the Americans will attempt to earn their fourth straight victory against against Pau Gasol’s team to get to their third consecutive gold-medal game. If basketball isn’t your thing, stay on NBC at 2 p.m. for BMX biking followed by U.S. women’s water polo playing for a gold medal against Italy.

On the tail end of daytime coverage will be the women’s soccer gold-medal game featuring Sweden and Germany. Despite Hope Solo’s “coward” comments, the Swedish team shut down the host nation in Rio to make it to the final round against Germany.
Ending the afternoon slots may be Jordan Burroughs competing for a gold medal in wrestling on CNBC at 5 p.m. if he makes it through the preliminary rounds as expected.
Primetime slots:
Find out who will be on the other side of the gold medal game after the USA plays Spain in men’s basketball on CNBC at 6 p.m. with Australia and Serbia facing each other in a physical semifinal match. If you want to switch it up, you can change over to NBCSN at 7:30 p.m. where Poland and Denmark are playing for a spot in the gold-medal match in men’s handball.
Starting at 8 p.m. will be NBC’s primetime coverage on the track. Included in the coverage will be Usain Bolt going for his third gold medal of this Olympics and ninth gold medal overall to put him in the same company as Carl Lewis of the U.S. and Paavo Nurmi of Finland. Find him racing the anchor leg of the 4×100-meter relay for Jamaica.
Don’t sleep on the women’s 4×100 either, where the United States women will look to repeat their world record effort at the London games and repeat as Olympic champions. It was a close call for the women when a bump in the qualifying round nearly derailed their medal pursuit, but they look like they are on track after posting the fastest time on an empty-track requalifying run following a formal protest.
Also in action will be Jenn Suhr in the pole vault, who fought off an undisclosed illness to qualify for the pole vault final.
Ending the night’s coverage on NBC will be David Boudia on men’s platform. The American diver already got a team silver in synchronized diving with partner Steele Johnson, but will be attempting to repeat as Olympic champion in the individual event.
