just bought a my first motorcycle. its a 2000 suzuki gsxr 600. started it up and drove it home. next day go outside and it wont start. replaced battery and everything turns on it just clicks. sounds like it wants to but it dont even turn over. plenty of gas.ignition is on. kick stand up. im guessing starter solenoid? any help with some ideas would help. thanks. bike is carburated too if thats makes a difference with what problem could be

Are you sure the battery you put in there was up to par.If it was a new one,it has to be charged also, they don't come fully charged.Usually the clicking is from the lack of juice to the solenoid. If you have a meter handy, set it on dc volts and put it on the battery while you hit the start button,if it drops below 11.5 vols the battery either has to be charged or it is junk.If you don't have a meter, bypass the solenoid and run a jumper wire directly to the top post of the starter and then touch it to the + side of the battery. If it hardly turns it over it is the battery.Make SURE the bike is in neutral when you do this.
