1997 Nissan Maxima help?

Hi everyone,
I've posted this question several times, and took it to several mechanics and no one can figure it out because it's intermittent. I have a 1997 Nissan Max, with 160,000 miles on it. Runs great, but when I let it sit in the cold for anywhere from 4+ hours (depending on how cold it is), and go to start it, it starts but immediately dies out unless I rev the gas a couple times and keeps idling. Mind you, this only happens when it's cold! I see on some forums that this may be a common problem, but does anyone have any ideas? To me it seems something with the fuel line somewhere, but I really have no idea. Any answers are helpful, thank you!
