I own a 1971 chevy C-10 pick-up. Recently the temperature guage pegged to hot. I found a wire hanging under the hood, and assume it goes to the temp sensor, but, I have been unable to locate the exact location of this sensor on the block/head? Can anyone tell me where to look?

My LG Tromm (model DLG2525S) dryer is taking up to 2 hours to dry clothes. Thought the ductwork was clogged so i had the entire dryer duct system professional cleaned and still have same problem. Has anyone ever had to change the sensor in this dryer? Nothing in the manual about this.
I have installed a K&N cold air intake and now the idol is off. My mechanic told me I needed to upgrade my MAF sensor. I have found several different kinds but am confused as to which one is best. Please help.
