I am a 17 yr old female who just bought her first car a 1993 VW Passat with a VR6 motor. Would anyone know what the manufacture recommends to use when doing a oil change as far as weight, brand & type ? ( synthetic -? )
I have a 2001 VW Passat, and it has a standard VW single CD Player in the dash. But I have recently downloaded (legally!) some music in MP3 format, and burnt it on to CD to play in my car.
But for some reason the CD player wont pick up any of the tracks.....
Can anyone suggest a way around...

The moment the car hit 80K miles, the check engine light came on. Fuel cap checked ok. Before I invest in a OBD II reader, is there any "recommend service" that would trigger the light at this exact mileage?
I had to jump start my car sevral times , i got a new battery installed it myself . Now when i turn on my car the radio/cdplayer/cassete is blank wont even turn on . it wouldnt even ask for a code! what should i do ? did i maybe install the battery wrong? but the car runs and the lights turn on...
the best that vw could tell me is they think its faulty and want £1000 to replace it it seems straight forward enough to change but the book says check if your unit is coded?, how can i tell? its a 2000 model 1.8t b5.

Since my car (VW Passat 2.0 1999) went in for a service a few days ago, the ABS light stays on permanently. Normally, if the fault has been resolved, the light should go off on driving a short distance. This has not worked. Took it back to the guy who did the service - he says it will go out...

i berly got this car 2 days ago at the dealer ship it had 6,400 miles. why is the car saying low pressure oil?? Is this a big problem? should i return the car? ((i know i am going to take it back to VW to get this checked)) but im thinking of retuning it should i?? whats wrong with the car?
