Okay, on the Koodo website they allow you to bring in an unlock smartphone that will work with Koodo, so does that mean I can get a cheaper phone from Telus that is also offer in a Koodo store?

I currently have the INQ Cloud Touch through koodo and I was wondering if I would have to unlock it if I wanted to switch my plan to telus. Im not sure if I do have to get the phone unlocked because Telus owns Koodo.
I was using my BlackBerry Curve when I noticed that the mobile network said Telus. I'm not with Telus, I'm with Koodo. I tried turning my mobile network on and off again and again but it still says Telus. Why is this and how can I change it back to Koodo?
