I just hooked up my guitar to GarageBand and I know how to record and everything but I have one question: Can I use garageband to make effects for my guitar without recording it? Like, can I play my guitar all willy-nilly and test out the effects without having to make a recording?

me and my friends recorded something on garageband on my mac and i want to email it, and its in a folder on my desktop. when i went to attatch the file, it was there to choose from, but i couldnt click on it. it was grey instead of black. do u think this means its not available to attatch?

So I have a free Audio Unit synthesizer on garageband called Automat, which is really nice for wave manipulation (good delays, modulation, etc.), but the oscillator waves and the samples it gives you to do stuff with really suck. Another free synthesizer I have, Crystal, is just the opposite...
When ever i want to record anything in studio it only picks up one line it use to pic up on both on the track volume level. when ever i put it in mono it picks it up but it sounds worst. can anyone help me get it back to normal.
