phone or a discount? yi have a 2 year plan and have had my phone for 6 months and i just opened it to take a call and it fell into a full glass of coke...and it's kind of acting wierd..

When I open up a plastic bottle of Coke and look under the cap for the code, there's always a little translucent plastic thingy blocking the way and I have to push it in farther so I can see the code.
What are those things? Are they only in the bottles with the codes? Are they to keep people...
My dad always drinks diet coke and I've been trying to get him to quit. I've read some articles like one from Woman's Day magazine that says it's bad for you and makes you want to eat more. I need more information to get him to finally quit. Please help out, I would very much appreciate it...
