My psp is hacked with chicken into version 5.03 gen c full and i want to update it to 5.50..plz help me a friend of mine hacked the psp and gave it to me now he is in England ans says that he doesn't remember where he hacked it etc

I am going to downgrade to 5.03 so I can install CFW onto my PSP 3000. I don't intend on buying a pandora battery for this process or the CFW process.

i just want to know other people's opinion on this.
