It shakes when it's idling, is sluggish, and when going up a hill it jerks feels kinda like I'm driving over speed bumps or something. I'll start up the hill and since there's very little power the rpms drop quickly and it starts jerking. Now there are spurts when it's cold where it will run...
I know the fuel pump is good and the fuel pump relay is good also. It also doesn't provide a spark but once in a great while after messing with the ignition same goes for the fuel pump, it wont activate unless you mess with the ignition. So any help would be greatly appreciated.

i like the later year xr500's but i got a super deal on a 82 but the seat is uncomfortable and the side plates are sorry lookin. so if i found that stuff off a 83 or 84 would it bolt rite up or not?
The original engine is carburated and this one is fuel injected.The 82 is missing some components like the ecu,wiring harness,timing pulleys and the turbo is siezed.I need to swap engines would I be better to buy a new one?I think the old one is blown,I don't know alot about engines>
