The DVD drive works fine on PC for any other kind of DVD/CD ROMs it just doesn't see the things I record on my DVD Recorder from my TV, but the DVDs work fine in the DVD Player. What is going on?

I've been watching a live-stream of Halo 4 on machinima respawn on youtube and i noticed that there are actually people in their game. Not like 343 employees but actual normal halo players. Getting a game a day or two before the release date is okay i guess but getting a game nearly a week...
I am trying to rip a DVD using Winx DVD Ripper but it only gets/records around 5 minutes worth of video from it. I tried other DVDs and it did not have this problem.
