no u just have to find a free internet connection around where u live that's all and don't evening think of getting a new psp it sucks because if u drop it ones then it will break not like the one u got i got the same and i some times drop mine but it still works so don't list in to the people...

wait till you are a teenager then get a phone and why so you can show it to your friends and talk a lot that's what i do or you can get a text plan or get both your chose.
