I live in Vancouver, BC. I bought a Sony DVD player two years ago. I haven't used it much because it only plays DVD's and doesn't record shows on DVD. Is there a way to modify my DVD player so that it can record shows on DVD? Does anyone know what stores in Vancouver do such a modification?

They sell bypass switches on Ebay to do just that but that's a waste in my opinion. You can fix this yourself by pulling the radio out, look at the harness and there will be a wire grounded to the ebrake, simply ground it out with another ground and it'll trick your radio and work fine.
