New Year - New Deductable.
I recently went to the ER, waited 6 hours, CT scan, waited 2 hours, then finally was taken to a room, IV inserted along with some meds. The meds didn't work, they wanted to give me a heavy pain killer (IV) and I refused and was released. How could this possibly add up to $4,000.00 + in which I have to pay almost my entire deductable ($2,500).
I was admitted to the hopsital last year for a UTI & Kidney stone in which I stayed 3 days and only paid about $250.00 in hopistal bills, my insurance picked up the 13K. Why am I paying $2,500 now when I only paid $250.00 last year?
