    Should SUV sales continue?

    Why/why not?

Why do people hate them so much? Safety measures are being taken...do they have a negative impact on society???

Yes! what kind of lib question is that? How about we just start regulating when you can leave the house? How about we'll be by to collect urine samples in the morning? How about we'll regulate how many people can gather at one place at one time? You want my gun?

Maybe the government will round up everybody that drives too much and shoot 'em.

Of course they should. The minute you start telling people what they can and cannot buy with money that they earned is the day that we cease to be a free society. Let the market determine whether or not sales continue, not the government.

As a motorbike rider i hope not!

So many dead heads wandering over the road without a care in the world for other road users.
You can't see over or around them to judge what the traffic is doing.
Terrible in parking stations where you wait for them to do a 30-point turn to get out of the way.
Another kid recently backed over by their own parent in Australia.
Take up the whole lane, so any lapse in concentration GREATLY affects anyone next to them or oncoming.
Generally (not always) driven by the lazy and inconsiderate, don't corner properly so if your oncoming around a bend it's not surprising to see a grill heading towards you in your lane.

People used to enjoy 'bashing' Volvo drivers because they were so safe they didn't care about other road users, this catagory has fast been replaced by suv drivers.

SUVs are America's ultimate example of gluttony and vanity and stupidity, and when my wife wanted one, I demanded to personally write the check to pay for it because I wanted to take the blame for not being able to stop that purchase. They are gas-guzzling, high-rolling (center of gravity), view blocking, slow stopping, poor turn handling, accident causing, fatality causing "vehicles" that show the ignorance and naivete of the American public when the auto makers could produce and sell such trash in a fuel starving nation. And no comparison to any other vehicle on the American road today can or will EVER justify their existence, or continued production. God Bless you.

Have you looked at gas prices? People don't hate the SUV's people hate that they don't get much MPG. I have an SUV and it gets about 12-14 mpg. We are in an economic crisis but oil companies refuse to lower oil prices. Oil businesses are just so poor & can't pay their bills.
The gas prices fluctuate with the oil prices. The suburban soccer moms need their SUV's in case they go offroading.
