Blu-Ray Player??????

I just got a sony blu-ray player and I want the best results possible for video and audio. I have a 40 inch sony LCD tv. What kind of screen format should I have...fixed aspect ratio or original? Also what should the output video format be? I got the manual and everything just looking for some further help.

well i would try keeping it at original aspect ratio, and for your output i would use HDMI otherwise no 1080p :\ no 1080p defeats the purpose of a HDTV, and its only 720p with component cables.
O yeah, you should have gotten a ps3, as you can game with it and play blu-ray discs in it.. - saves about 200 bucks maybe more..
but its to late now o well.
