My Laptop Problems on Internet Explorer?

I have a windows XP laptop, and whenever i go on the internet, it will all be working fine, but then on certain pages, when i click on something it will constantly continue to open that page in new tabs, until my laptop freezes
then i have to turn it on again, and it will all be fine, then it il repeat in a few hours
i had just recently installed and update on my laptop this morning, and ever since that happened, my laptop has had these problems
i was just wondering if anyone had any ideas or suggestions as i have never had this problem before and just wondering if it was normal or not because im quite worried really

any advice or suggestions would be helpfull
    thank you

Every now and then, a weird thing like this will happen after installing an update. This is Microsoft. This is what they do. I still like Microsoft, it is the best of an imperfect thing.

You need to uninstall that update, and all the updates that were along with it. Wait as long as possible to reboot.

These updates are in the Windows folder, hidden, with a folder like KB585732 and stuff for each update. Each one has an uninstall.

Never use Windows Update again. I dont.
