what are some ways to make my sprinting speed faster?

i cant go to a gym and i do not know what things to do. i have always been in shape but i have also always been slow. i want to get faster within 6 months to prepare myself to be a defensive end in football next season.
 
Tie 1-5 pound weights to your ankles or anywhere you feel comfortable on your legs(as long as its not higher than the knee cap). Then run/walk whatever with them on you'll feel lighter and faster after a month.
(optional)Don't take them off after excerise wear them normally. It'll build naturally.
