Can you answer this riddle?

She put the paper under a door and they had to stand on either side of the door while still standing on the same piece of paper.

Tom and his younger sister were fighting. Their mother was tired of the fighting, and decided to punish them by making them stand on the same piece of newspaper in such a way that they couldn't touch each other.

How did she accomplish this?

The answer is that she put it on 2 seperate sides of the door, but the other ones also have good points, but I am giving the 10 points to the 2nd answer.
