My name is Erica and I am 21 years old. I was first diagnosed with hypothyroidism at 11 years old. In the past i missed a day or two but for the past 9 months I have been taking my pill everyday. I have been looking on the internet with thyroid and getting pregnant. There has been lots of people saying that bad things will happen. What I want to know is there any women out there that can give me info on there experience. I have also thought about taking birth control but worried if i do that i will make it hard to get pregnant when i stop taking the pills. i have read that thyroid can make it hard to get pregnant so don't want to make it more harder. I appreciate all the help. thanks

My ex has hypothyroidism and it was harder for her to get pregnant but it wasn't impossible.
Nothing bad happened during her pregnancy it was just harder to get pregnant and some people have higher risks of miscarriage.
My ex was told to come off the thyoxine pill while trying for a baby ,she stayed on them though as her periods were irregular, once she was pregant she came of the tablets.
The doctor told her not to go on the birth control pill.
I really would see a specialist they will be able to help you loads and you will get pregnant eventually it's just harder
Good luck :)
