Does champagne taste the same as chardonnay?

No. Champagne can vary from being very sweet to being very dry. Chardonnay is usually either buttery or appley tasting depending on how the wine was fermented.

Champagne has a little fizz. Chard doesn't. Sparkling wine, such as Korbel is similar to champagne.

No, no, no.....

They are similar, but chardonnay is not carbonated.

Champagne has fizzy bubbles that enhance it's taste- which can be sweet, or dry depending on your preference.

Chardonnay is a more refined white wine which also comes in various depths of flavor [sweet, fruity, dry, musky, etc.]
