Using Laptop as a screen for DVD/Gaming?

I have a new HP Pavillion DV7 laptop, and i wanted to use it also as a screen for my xbox and ps3, it has a VGA and HDMI ports on the side, but could i go from my ps3 HDMI into my computer to display it on my computer screen? Is it possible, and How?

Not likely, those ports are likely for OUTPUT, not input.

Now it might be possible to do this with tv tuners or video capture cards that would go on the expresscard slot.

For watching DVD it might be easier to just put the DVD in the optical drive.

I would like to mention that snice you got an HDMI port, it might be possible that if you got a flat screen TV it might have an HDMI input port so you can plug your laptop into the TV.
