Telus: problem text messaging ?

I've been having problems text messaging for about the last week, the majority of incoming texts are "stored" on my phone, and I don't get them until 30 minutes to an hour after I should have received them.
My phone is an LG Keybo, and I'm on a pay and talk plan. Has anybody else had this problem, and if so how did you fix it?
 
It seems that TELUS is doing some sort of national upgrade to the texting system and incoming texts are being somewhat delayed until it is completed. A lot of clients are experiencing this annoying problem. You could call 611 and connect to Data and Network Assistance to see if they can help you.
