My Toshiba laptop is just over a year and a half old, and has been nothing but problems since I got it. A few weeks ago it stopped reading the power cord unless I nudged it just right, like there was a bad wire. Since then its been getting worse, saying the laptop was plugged in but it wasn't charging, or being plugged in and not reading the power cord or the charger. It got to the point where the computer finally died, and it won't boot long enough for me to do anything, and of course the power cord is no longer working. Is is safe for me to assume this is a power cord problem, and if so should I just replace the power cord? Also, what type of adapter does this laptop have so I don't end up spending $90 on a universal power cord?
