I'm on a nextel plan but I can't switch companies because I need the no roaming fees on nextel. Can I do that since sprint and nextel merged? I really don't like nextels phones.
You can upgrade your phone to a CDMA only phone but you will lose your direct connect service, or you can use a PowerSource (or hybrid) phone wich use both networks cdma for calls and iden for direct connect,
Signal are better than nextel only phones but are as ugly as nextel ones.
They have other type of phones wich are called DCS or Direct Connect on Sprint, phones are nicer than powersource or nextel but I dont know how these ones work, the only thing I know is that you can use the direct connect services and voice calls using cdma towers.
