Internet Explorer Will Not Open Up?

For anyone who knows computers out there, I would really appreciate a response... Out of no where, when I tried to open up Internet Explorer, it begins to download, the page begins to come up and then the window just closes. What's going on? Do you know how to help? Have advice? All answers will be greatly appreciated. If you do not know the answer, please star the question so that this question may catch the eye of someone who does. Thank-you.
