get another key made, or Nissan? I imagine I will have to go to Nissan Dealer, but want to save $ if I can.

From upwards of 1998 for most vehicles the dealer is a 50/50 chance.
On some vehicles the dealership is the only source for keys due to complexities and unified remotes.
