Cool Animal Of The Future?

What about an animal that is like an amphibian, global warming is something that is melting the ice poles so inundations are going to happen in lots of places(so this animal should adapt to swim) or if you are going to do it in a place where is going to stay dry the temperatures are rising so this place will become more like a desert(you can include adaptations like those of modern animals like the camel- ex: it has the ability to store food in its ass idk,just an idea. You can also include the way it reproduces, does it have a small amount of offspring and takes care of them until they reach adulthood or does it produce a massive amount of offspring so that some will make it. Just imagine the environment that your future animal will be in, what are the characteristic of this place, what place that this place resembles ex: desert, savanna, forest, tundra. Then once you find the closest place in appearance look for animals that live in that place and the adaptations that they have and mix those adaptations to create your own animal.
