i am 15 years old, 6'1'' 170 lbs and i have a 2005 crf 230. and it isn't enough bike for me. i rode a tricked out crf 250r but i kinda wanted to go with a 450, but every one is saying it will be to much bike for me. i am a ok rider, good for my age. and just wondering what would be a better bike, 250 or a 450. i've herd stories about how the 250's need new valves once a year at least and i dont really want to be spending $800 on it all the time. i am going to start racing more and i ride some trails but they are mostly logging trails. THanks

go for the 450 man, yes they have more power, but if u have experience u should be fine. plus a majority of the new 450s are fuel injected (suzuki, honda, and kawasaki) so u dont need to worry as much about maintainence and better throttle response. theyre all excellent bikes, have fun. :)

Get a dual sport. Built like the motorcross but with just enough lights to drive on the highway. You'll have your license in a year. I had a XL500 years ago. Great for popping wheelies, jumps, climbing hills and trail riding.
