Kaspersky Internet Security
Avira Premium Internet Security
Norton Internet Security 2009

I know you said just one but if you throw out Norton you can't go wrong with any of the other 3 but to choose just one I would go with Eset (nod32)

i prefer norton antivirus. it all depends on how much you are looking to spend. i would make a decision soon because you do not want to have a computer with out virus protection.
