Which is better G1 or Ipod touch?

I have done research on both the G1 and Ipod touch but I am having a hard time deciding which would be more beneficial to my needs. I am getting one or the other for my birthday so any input would be greatly appreciated.
 
A lot of my friends have the Ipod touch and say its not very reliable. My uncle works for google and has to g1 and he really likes it. I would go for the g1.
 
Well, a G1 makes calls and an ipod touch dosent...bottom line is weather you will need to be making calls or not. If you meant iPhone 3G vs G1 I would have to go with iPhone 3G simply because G1 is first gen OS and first gen Hardware. If you are seriously deciding between touch and G1 I would go G1 because it makes calls, camera etc. And G1 is not a terrible option because it has Tmobile Flex pay which is contract free...Good Luck!
 
well, do you have a phone?
do you have an ipod?
if you have both, go with the g1
that has everything.
if you have phone, no ipod, go with touch.
if you have ipod, no phone, go with g1.

i have an i pod touch its the best! i garenttee that that one wil fit your needs
